The Bluebird Express is open select days from June through October, providing ideal viewing of the Green Mountains at their greenest as well as famous Vermont fall foliage. Take in the beautiful surrounding views with highlights including Somerset Reservoir, Mount Monadnock, and sometimes even Mount Washington. Head into the summit restaurant, The Bullwheel, for lunch and a brew and enjoy live music on the deck on Saturday afternoons. Tour Groups explore the rich history of the covered bridge, enjoy landscape paintings by Eric Sloane, wind sculptures by LymanWhitaker on the Art Center’s grounds, bird carvings by Floyd Scholz, Native American Art and artifacts, and special exhibitions. The Covered Bridge Museum tells the story of the development of the covered bridge through displays of the construction, tools, habitat, and cultural significance of this iconic American architectural form. Watch a film about local covered bridges and browse the resource library and gift shop. We look forward to welcoming your groups and providing themwith an informative and enjoyable experience.
